Leonardo Bozza
Hi everyone! My name is Leonardo and I’m a 1st year medical student.
My main motivation is a love for the Gospel which changed my life, and a desire for others to have their life changed by it too. Having been agonistic/atheistic most of my life, I feel I can personally relate more to problems and questions people have about Christianity – as well as misconceptions keeping people away. I am eager to create events which answer these questions and challenge these misrepresentations of God, so that people who are not Christian can see God for who He truly is.

I’m thankful for King’s DevNeuro lab where I worked with a team in making a website on raising awareness of research, and I’m looking forward to using these skills to help share the Gospel alongside everyone else. Here I saw how to organise teams according to everyone’s strengths and preferences. Organising parent evenings and a fundraiser in prefect duty also taught me how to take care of logistics so an event runs smoothly, and my experience in helping organise exhibitions at the Horniman museum helped me learn how to make events as engaging and interesting as possible – especially in outreach.

Moreover, I enjoy talking to others and I’m told I’m easy to talk to, so I hope to create a friendly environment at UCLCU for everyone. Looking forward to working with everyone if elected!

I want to use this position to take events run by the Christian Union to the next level by bringing new ideas and finding ways to reach a broader audience. Holding events is a vital part of spreading the Word of God and outreaching to various groups; I would like everyone to have the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. I believe I have the key skills required for this role; including organisation and creativity. My past experiences with organising events such as Praise & Worship night and running my school's Faith Club have given me the tools to thrive in this role. I have been a member of my church Ushering Team which heavily focuses on making everyone feel welcome in God's kingdom and this role will give me the chance to continue doing this. Orchestrating events also requires communicating and working collaboratively - being a member of my church Youth Praise & Worship Team and Technical Team have given me ample opportunity to work interdependently and I will be able to bring these skills to the role.
