The Effective Altruism society has enjoyed a successful year considering the circumstances and I aim to help build on the hard work of the previous committee. In my role, not only will I safely handle the society finances, but I will also work with the President and other members to widen participation, produce a steady flow of interesting talks, and build a fun and vibrant atmosphere to engage in healthy debate over EA topics. I have 3 key ideas to build on the great work done this year.

1. Start the groundwork for a UCL introductory fellowship and build a strong group of core members who could lead it.

2. Engage with EA London and EA societies at LSE, Kings, and Oxford to host talks and socials.

3. Ensure we make the most of post-lockdown life! Sometimes small conversations over a coffee or a pint are the best way to learn and exchange ideas. Continuing the welcoming EA environment at UCL is paramount.
Tiny bit about me:
1st year PPE student (once a veterinary student), who discovered EA in September and has caught the EA bug. I also have completed the ArĂȘte (LSE) and In-Depth (Oxford) fellowships.
