Shwmae Welsh Soc!

I have loved being a part of Welsh Soc this year and I've felt so welcomed in by you all, which considering I haven't actually met any of you is a testament! I would love to be on your committee next year, and I'd love to be Volunteering Officer. I believe that outreach and volunteering is really important, not just in Welsh Soc, but in life in general. As a teacher and educator, community work is vital to my career, and I've loved doing volunteering for AgeUK Camden and Bookmark Reading Charity. I would love to follow on the amazing work that has been done in terms of volunteering, and continue to create projects that excite Welsh Soc and the wider community. Sharing skills and experiences with the wider Welsh community in London could be vital following the year we've had and it would be lovely to involve music, theatre, cooking/baking and more and share classes/sessions with the elderly of London. Similarly, I would love to organise a Macmillan Coffee Morning to share profits of the bake sale/coffee morning with a Welsh charity and Macmillan too.

I have lots of ideas about how we can really use Welsh Soc to reach communities across London and Wales!

Thank you!
