Commitment - more information: 
- Applicants are in a position commit for at least 1 year. - Applicants understand and agree to complete all the required training and induction in a timely manner. (matches cannot proceed otherwise) - Are in a position to make regular weekly visits for up to 1 hour at a time that suits the client. - Attend at least 2 Volunteer Forums a year.
Opportunity description: 

The Dementia Befriending Service supports people to live independently and safely at home for as long as possible, stay socially engaged and carry on doing what they love. The service supports Camden residents over the age of 55 in the early or moderate stages of dementia. We match people with a volunteer befriender who will visit on a regular weekly basis.

Location: 
This service is open to older people across Camden borough - exact location will depend on where the client lives in the borough.

What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?: 
Volunteers are briefed on the current organisational procedures in relation to the role. If needed PPE is provided. If needed the role can be adapted and carried out remotely
